The Broadview lofts located at 68 Broadview is a historic building that use to be a drug warehouse. Despite its history, I’m happy to report there haven’t been any sightings of Mayor Ford there. Used as a storage facility by Rexall Drugs for the storage of pharmaceuticals, the building’s past is still evident in the hallways and individual units where the old steel fire doors have been incorporated into the design, giving the building a greater feel of authenticity (I’m sure protecting the drugs and ingredients from fire would have been a top priority for Rexall!). Features in the building include tongue and grove wood ceilings, exposed brick, warehouse style windows, wood beams, concrete floors and ceilings over 10 feet high!
In addition to converting the original warehouse building, the developer (Sorbara Group) also added two more floors of lofts for a total of 179 units. Amenities include visitor parking, a meeting/party room that overlooks the City, and a rooftop patio.
Modern loft living at The Broadview Lofts is complemented by a vibrant neighbourhood scene. Steps from Queen East in the heart of Riverside, you have easy access to some of Toronto’s best pubs and eateries, shops and boutiques!! A short walk to Leslieville and the soon to be completed Pan Am Games Athletes village, the Broadview Lofts provides easy access to some of Toronto’s destination location!
